Matias Nisperuza ("I," "me," or "my") operates Bert CLI, a developer-friendly local AI tool. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when you use the software.
By using Bert CLI, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2.1 Information You Provide
- Email Address: When you request a token, your email address is collected to generate and manage your weekly token allocation.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Token Usage: How many tokens you use each week is tracked to enforce fair usage limits.
- Basic Analytics: Anonymous usage statistics such as which models are most popular and general usage patterns may be collected.
2.3 Information NOT Collected
- Conversations: Your conversations with Bert happen entirely on your local machine. I never see, store, or have access to what you ask or what Bert responds.
- Files: Any files you reference using @ syntax are processed locally. Your files are never received or stored.
- Personal Data: Beyond your email, no names, addresses, payment information, or other personal details are collected.
3. How Your Information Is Used
The information collected is used to:
- Generate and validate your weekly access tokens
- Track token usage to ensure fair access for all users
- Send important service announcements (rare, only when necessary)
- Improve Bert CLI based on anonymous usage patterns
- Respond to support requests
4. Data Storage and Security
Your email and token data are stored securely on servers (hosted on Railway). Industry-standard security measures are implemented including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS)
- Secure database storage
- Limited access to personal data
Your conversations and local files are stored only on your own device and are never transmitted.
5. Data Sharing
Your personal information is never sold, traded, or rented to third parties.
Information may be shared only in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: Railway is used for hosting. They process data on my behalf and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Legal Requirements: Information may be disclosed if required by law or to protect rights.
6. Data Retention
- Email addresses: Retained as long as you use Bert CLI. You can request deletion at any time.
- Token usage data: Retained for 90 days for analytics, then aggregated and anonymized.
- Conversations: Never stored by me. Managed entirely on your local device.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the data held about you
- Delete: Request deletion of your email and associated data
- Opt-out: Unsubscribe from any communications

8. Children's Privacy
